While we are not immune to the current troubled economy, we have been able to control our losses in the form of conservative lending. Most of the losses in the mortgage industry come from subprime lending (low credit scores or people with very high debt ratios). TCCU does not participate in subprime lending. With more losses from repossessions and bankruptcies, we may be forced to lower dividend rates or raise loan rates slightly to compensate for these losses.
